<p class="faq_answer"><strong>Answer</strong><br />Stress &#8211; it&#8217;ll Kill ya (or maybe me first)</p>
<p>You could think of it as a river &#8211; and you are the dam. It comes in at different speeds, and you have options that will build it up, or let it out.</p>
<p>First &#8211; manage stress coming in.<br />
Don&#8217;t overdo it. &#8211; sign up, and tackle only what you can do, work on your to-do list, and git er done. Don&#8217;t bite off more than you can handle in one day.</p>
<p>Stress is digested fear. Fear that you won&#8217;t get things done. Fear that you&#8217;ll get fired. Fear that your relationship will fail. Logically manage what you can, and if something material is creating too much stress, it might be better to let it go.</p>
<p>Stress can be dispelled, once it&#8217;s tortured you.<br />
techniques like meditation, exercise and rest are proven.<br />
Of the meditation techniques I&#8217;ve used, the most recent is the &#8220;mindfulness&#8221; approach of Kabat-Zinn (possibly misspelled). Recent studies show that exercise directly works on the circuitry of depression &#8211; worsened by stress.</p>
<p>Finally if non-medical means don&#8217;t work, and you&#8217;re really becoming unravelled, there are medical approaches &#8211; antidepressant, other &#8211; which can be used &#8211; but I favor the natural. Lower cost and side effect rate.</p>

<p class="faq_question">I have a lot of things on my mind lately and I&#8217;m finding that the more I bottle it up, the more careless I am with my actions and the more I regret. I end up fighting with my loved ones, making stupid mistakes, ect.</p>
<p>I really want to get my thoughts out somehow without burdening someone else. Things like writing and stuff. Any ideas? Or is there anything that could at least take my mind off of things? I can&#8217;t indulge in my hobbies because of my depression.

<p class="faq_question">I want it to be COMPLETELY unreadable (I&#8217;m a paranoid S.O.B.) and so I was wondering if anyone got any creative ideas to destroy a hard drive.  I could really use some stress relief, so anything involving a battle cry would be great.</p>

There are many things people can do to ease the impacts of tension without spending more than a few dollars at the most. Stress reduction is not rocket science. Focus on what matters, let go of what doesn&#8217;t and accept things that cannot be changed and stress will not stand a chance. </p>
<p>Dealing with acute stress with the use of stress medications can help give a person time to regroup and come up with viable coping mechanisms. In the case of acute stress, which is common following tragedy, therapy is often suggested to help the person cope and learn mechanism for better stress management.</p>

<p class="faq_question">I have had alot of stress on me lately.  What is the best way to manage stress without medication?
