Stress is a word that is tossed around on a daily basis. People find themselves stressed out, stressed to perform, under too much stress and even too stressed to think. Stress constrains life, the enjoyment of it and even health. For people who suffer from it on a daily or regular basis, the definition of stress can be very personal.

For most people, this is just a fact of daily living. Stress, however, does have several different forms. Sometimes it is a good thing. In other cases, it can cause long-term psychological and even physical damage.

The best measure to take for stress relief does depend a lot on the type of stress in question. Chronic, everyday stress, for example, can often only be tackled by facing the issues that can be changed head on and learning to accept issues that cannot be changed. Unfortunately, this is easier said than done. Acute stress tends to go away on its own, but if it is acute and repetitive, life changes might be in order to help with stress relie

The exact one to use or even combination of them will depend on the person at hand and what actually helps them relieve the pressures of stress and tension.

Some people find that they can find some stress relief through the use of natural herbs and vitamins. For something simple you may want to consider a B vitamin supplement. The B vitamin group is known for lowering stress and anxiety levels. Chamomile and lemon balm are two of the simpler herbs that are known to give minor stress relief.

Many vitamins and vitamin supplements can be found in your local drugstore or if you are interested in more specific herbal supplements you can find them at a health food store. Stress relief ?

I’m 15. I get angry very easily and have been told to go to anger management. I get very bad chest pain to the point of tears if i get stressed and yell. I went to the doctor and nothing is wrong with my heart. I have been trying to control my anger and not yell as much so my chest dosen’t hurt. It is very hard especially with 2 younger very annoying brothers. Any suggestions on stress relief and ways to control my anger?

Answer
Anger management classes aren’t a bad thing, and if you go to them and show you are willing to try to work on things, maybe you can use that to your advantage. What are your younger brothers doing to make you angry? Can you ask that they be told to stop annoying you so much?

If they’re very young then yes, a lot of the burden will have to be on you – you are older and will be seen as having to be the ‘responsible’ one, but surely a compromise can be made?

If your anger is having a detrimental effect on your health then anything that can reduce it is good. Can you go out a few nights a week to have some peace (even if you have to sleep over at a friends or something?) – do you have your own room? Can your brothers be kept away from there so you have some peace?

Have you tried meditation – it may sound goofy, but it can be a great stress reliever for some people.

Is there any effective natural stress relief supplements?

Hello, I have been dealing with some stress lately since changing my career path and was wondering if there was any natural stress relief supplements worth trying? I am curious about any supplements, vitamins, or herbs that are effective against stress.

Answer
I had the same problem with stress about a year ago and did a lot of research. I eventually found a natural product with ingredients backed by science. It works by helping to restore your GABA (anti-stress neurotransmitter in your brain) back to normal levels. I have been using it daily and it works great. You can even try the product for free: http://www.stresscool.com/go.php?t=13

The main ingredient is L-Theanine which they extract from green tea. The vitamin b6 is used to metabolize l-theanine so it can be used by your body and the magnesium citrate is used to maintain proper muscle relaxation. The mind and body are connected and when one is stressed, the other is too. This product works on both which is the reason why it is the best out there.

Can anyone help me find some stress relief methods?

I have Asperger’s Syndrome and Clinical Depression. I get these random bouts of anger and sadness and it frustrates my friends and family. This and a bunch of other things are causing a great deal of stress for me. I’ve tried writing, meditating and taking walks, but they don’t help. The only thing that seems to work for me is binge eating. I just eat and eat and it scares some of my friends. I’m trying to find other stress relief methods, but I can’t. Please help.

Answer
Relax your body completely.
Take in 4 deep breaths, repeating 4 to yourself as you exhale.
Then take 3 deep breaths, repeating 3 when you exhale.
Now take 2 deep breaths, repeating 2 when you exhale.
Finally, take 1 deep breath, repeating 1 as you exhale.

What herbal teas should i try if i like Oolong tea to get stress relief and headache relief?

I LOVE Oolong tea, but i would like to start trying some herbal teas…mainly to get the healing affects of the different herbs for different things, like stress relief, or headache relief. What would you suggest for a good herbal tea to start off with?

Answer
Sure chamomile tea or valerian tea is really good for thier calming effects and stress relief. For mild headache relief try some rosemary tea. Really bad headache relief white willow bark made into a tea with some green tea added for caffiene to make it work faster. If you have migraines your just screwed unless you have some opium poppy tea.

iyengar, ashtanga…. etc.

im looking for something not to fast paced.

Answer
They are all good depending on how your body is feeling at the time, but for what you are asking I believe the best is “Restorative” yoga. If you can find a yoga studio that offers it, you will feel so relaxed afterwards.
