Stress free life

Are you a single working woman? You dare to be different, dare to be independent and dare to be just yourself. You don’t kowtow to societal pressures or family demands. You are single by choice (may be waiting for the right man or may be not). You are confident, happy and fiercely ambitious. But you are also under a lot of stress – the stress that comes from daring and from doing things differently. If you are one of these women then we have something for you that will help you combat the stress that may hinder your growth and development. All you have to do is make the following Dos and Don’ts a part and parcel of your life.

1. DO – Be an optimist
Do remind yourself again and again that the whole world is there; ahead of you waiting to be conquered. Your glass should always be half full and never half empty. People may find it difficult to accept a ‘career-oriented single woman’, at work as well at home. If you can’t change their thinking, then there’s no point in worrying about what others will think. So many times you worry not because there is an issue but because you have become a habitual worrier. Instead of thinking: ‘Will I find a man who will be supportive of my career,’ just go ahead and say yes to the man who will support your career wholeheartedly. You will soon realize that having a positive and optimistic attitude will reap positive results.

2. Don’t – Create problems that are not there
Many times your worries are the fruits of your own wild imagination. Can you recall how many times you have thought: ‘If only I had the figure of Cindy Crawford, if only I had the energy of a five-year-old, if only my boss wouldn’t boss, if only the men didn’t come too close … ‘
The list of ‘if only’ seems endless. We have a special stress buster to rid you of all these imagined worries. Set an alarm for 15 minutes and think of all the possible worries that you can. As soon as the alarm goes off, rush to the bathroom and wash down all those thoughts down the washbasin.

3) Do – Be happy
Happiness is a perfect antidote for stress. Just be happy and watch all that stress vanish into thin air. The most important happiness is intrinsic – one should be happy with one’s own self. In fact make it a point that at least once in a day you tell yourself, ” I am happy, I am good and I love myself. ” Chant this mantra and you will see that all those problems that you thought were big are actually trivial. You don’t need a reason to be happy, but when you feel you do just write down five things that you think are great about yourself or your five greatest achievements. Do you still need a reason to be happy?

4) Don’t – Set unrealistic goals
Remember as a kid you were always expected to do things that seemed beyond your capacity and capability like excelling in mathematics while you just hated it, learn swimming when all the time you were scared of water and go win some medals when all that really mattered was that Nancy Drew on the shelf. You could be doing the same thing to yourself like aiming to put a full stop to male female discrepancies in the office, or wanting a double promotion where none is due or waiting for six tall, dark handsome men to propose to you. Remember the story of the hare and the tortoise – slow and steady wins the race. You too can win the race if you aim for things that are within your reach. Setting realistic goals not only relives stress but also boosts your morale in such a way that you are able to achieve the unachievable.

5) Do – Pat yourself on the back
It would be great if someone told you that you are doing a great job. But if nobody seems to be doing that then why don’t you go ahead and pat yourself. But take care that you don’t overdo the praise. There is a critic and patron in each one of us. The trick lies in striking a good balance between the two. It’ll do wonders for your ego if you tell yourself occasionally about a great job you have done or the pretty picture that you have painted. In these competitive times, when everybody seems to be outdoing the other to reach the top, stress can keep mounting. All you need to do is give yourself a pat on the back and see the difference.

6) Don’t – Crib and sulk
Many times we get trapped in the vicious circle of cribbing and sulking that leads to stress and then more cribbing and more sulking and more stress and the circle goes on and on. If you are always cribbing about something or the other you will feel discontented and stressed out. There are always going to be various pressures on you like marriage, work exploitation, juggling between home and work or being the sole breadwinner. You need to accept the fact that your life has these problems and instead of cribbing you need to tackle them with calm and fortitude.

7. Do – Let go your Ego
Ego is that side of your personality that brags, criticizes, exaggerates, judges, is selfish and self centred. It is normal to have an ego but it should not become a super ego. Remember the time you passed a judgment on your colleague because you didn’t like her way of dressing or you refused help from your male counterpart because of his gender. This is your super ego at work. The minute you let go of that ego you become a more pleasant, happy, generous and helpful person. People tend to then fall in love with you and you with them thus leaving little space for stress to creep in. You will then see yourself building stronger bonds and relationships that you will treasure.

Stop the Work Insanity – A Stressed Out Woman’s Quest For Peace and Tranquility

September 29, 2009 by Admin

What causes turmoil and grief in your life? Are you, too, on a stressed out woman’s quest for peace and tranquility in your life?

Before we can begin to heal ourselves we must first reveal what is causing our work-related stress.

-    Do you never seem to have enough time in the day to get everything done?
-    Is your job a little bit too demanding at times?
-    Do you feel you have too much responsibility for all the more control you have been given?
-    Do you have personality conflicts with others?
-    Do you like your co-workers and boss?

These factors can often cause health issues that just sort of creep up on you until you find yourself going to the doctors because you just don’t “feel good” anymore. Symptoms, such as a headache, neck strain, sleeplessness, and upset stomach are just a few signs of a woman with undue stress.

In order to get a handle on the situation you must learn something very important in your quest for peace and tranquility. You must learn Acceptance.

To learn Acceptance you must:

Keep things in perspective. Think to yourself, “will this make a difference and affect my life 5 years from now?” Many of us worry about things that never come to pass. If you can imagine the worst possible outcome and can deal with this possibility, you’ve accepted the situation for what it is and can move forward. Worrying about it will not change the outcome. It will only make you sick.

Use a mantra or self-assuring phrase. Repeating a mantra to yourself in bad times can be calming. If unsure of one to use try one of these:

Someday we’ll all laugh about this
Remain calm and relaxed
Things could always be worse
Invent one of your own

My mother was always telling me something of this sort when I was growing up. Perhaps yours did, too. Think back on those times and reflect. Perhaps all those sayings we thought were silly back then actually had some meaning. For your health’s sake, pull them out, dust them off and put them to good use.

Stay positive. Smiling in the face of negativity is next to impossible, but letting your negative emotions rule your feelings only complicates matters. If you stay focused on the positive side, your positive attitude may become contagious, making your work environment easier to handle.

Working with the general public as well as in a closed office environment, Charlotte Winslow has dealt with many different kinds of individuals and has, on many occasions, wanted to Stop The Work Insanity. If you, too, are a stressed out woman on a quest for peace and tranquility, http://stressreliefforwomen.info could be your answer.

JOB STRESS IN CORPORATE SECTOR-SOME THOUGHTS

September 26, 2009 by Admin

We live in an age of crises. There is large scale erosion of values. There is widespread corruption in all walks of life. The term “stress”’ has come into wide use in behaviour study only within the past two decades. Originating in the physical sciences, the term has the meaning of a force which acting on a body produces strain or deformation. Later stress has come to represent the bodily condition under strain. Both in the physical and biological sciences and behavioural study, the concept of stress meant an extreme condition, involving tension perhaps damage. If one asks people about their stress and in particular how they know it exists, two general kinds of things are described: Firstly, there are experiences of mental discomfort, often accompanied by feelings if not being able to cope, that things are falling a part, that one is not in control of oneself and one’s situation or just a general increase that all is not well without any particular cause being apparent. Secondly, there are physiological manifestations of loss of appetite, sleepless men, sweating and ulcers or other physical illnesses of various degrees.

Man has been a victim of stress since time immemorial. Modern man faces on unending variety of problems which cause enormous strains and stress for him. The modern day man does not have ‘fight or flight’ option before him. Man faced diseases such as plague, small pox, leprosy, etc. some of these were great killers and certain others were highly infections in nature and consequently caused immensely stressful situations. Modern science and technology due to which it has been possible to eliminate the impact of a large number of sources.

However, a mankind got over certain ailments; it got new ones in such formidable form as cancer, heart attacks, Aids etc. A large number of these are caused or aggravated due to increased pace of urbanization, industrialization, and the complexities of modem living. Prosperity has not been an unmixed blessing, but h3S brought in its wake a number of problems associated with it. Hence modern man faces an unending variety of problems which cause enormous strains and stress for him.

When body faces a stressful situation either by way of a physical attack or a psychological threat, the central nervous systems is alerted first and then adrenal and pituitary glands get activated and stare secreting hormones and cortisone etc. As a result of this the level of blood pressure rises. All this body’s reaction to build a defense and raise energy level so that the body can take recourse to fight or flight response. However the modern day Man who lives in a complex, abstract, and civilized society does not exercise flight or fight option due to tactical reasons and consequently the excess hormones secreted by the glands keep on getting accumulated and get converted into toxins. The toxic level rises in the body and can give rise to diseases. No wonder that a large number of diseases and ailments are said to be stress related. Further more the cause of most physical diseases lies in the suppression of feelings and emotions. Extensive research work the world over has revealed that mental illnesses and coronary diseases are particularly caused due to stress.

Stress may be caused due to a number of environmental factors. However the same factor may cause little or no stress to another. Stress comes from the attitude that one takes towards the events. Some people are susceptible to stress while others develop certain amount of immunity. For eg, when two managers had their job duties changed, a situation in which one manager will see the new duty as an opportunity to learn new skills and such a change given to him due to the vote of confidence from higher management. The second manager will perceive the same situation to be extremely threatening and will conclude that the change was meant to punish him. Hence an individual’s susceptibility to a stressed situation depends on various factors like,

v     Personality type, perception, past experience.

v     Social, economic and personal factors like financial problems, family conflicts and ailment and diseases.

v     Relationship with others, job change, role ambiguity, role over load, or under load and unhealthy working conditions.

v     Irrational behaviour, Poor performance etc.

v     Low self stress poor intellectual performance, depression and burnout syndrome.

v     Occurrence of stress related diseases

v           Financial problem

v     Conflict between family demands and organizational demands

As seen above, there seems to be a growing interest in what organizations do to its employees i.e. both managers and managed. One of such aspect is interest in ‘organizational stress’.  Management experts are becoming increasingly involved in helping employees to cope with organizational life.

Stress leads to physical disorders because the internal body system changes while trying to cope with stress. Stress over a prolonged time also leads to diseases of heart and other parts of the body system. Therefore it is important that stress, both on and off the job be kept at a low level so that most people may be able to tolerate without developing either emotional or physical disorders.

In each and every organization, employees have to be kept fully satisfied, happy and motivated so that productivity, efficiency and performance will be at its peak level. By this employees may understand the organization and start functioning in optimum efficiency. One of the most significant ways to achieve the organizational efficiency is to identify the reasons or causes of ’stressors’ and the way to cope with it.

There is emerging evidence that in some situations, organization can be held legally liable for the emotional and physical impact of stressors on employees. Poor working conditions, sustained conflicts with supervisors, traumatic events, and intentional harassment of employees sometimes result in anguish, neuroses or even suicide. If liability is established, employees could claim benefits under worker’s compensation laws as well as sue for financial damages. Frequent studies on stress would help to uncover the shadow areas; so that steps can be initiated to minimize the effect of the determinant   factors   of   ’stressors’   and   also   help    individuals   and organizations evolve new and effective coping strategies.

“Stress like relativity is a scientific concept which has suffered from the mixed blessing of being too well known and too little understood” says Dr. Hans Selye.

5 Ways to Reduce the Stress of Working Online from Home

September 25, 2009 by Admin

Working online from home seems to be the most picture perfect scenario anyone can imagine. Earning a work from home income obviously offers it advantages but with it comes a certain mental stress that is easily overlooked until you’ve actually experience it. With the growth and success many are achieving in online marketing more people are starting a small business in their homes. Although this does allow for folks to escape the traditional ‘rat race’ as we know it, these types of businesses are still fertile grounds for work related stress. No longer ’slaving away’ in a ‘formal’ work environment no doubt offers its attractions but work is still work. The associated tensions and anxieties still exist and need to be addressed.

Due mainly to the solitude or isolation online entrepreneurs typically experience when working at home many stress related issues often go unnoticed. This can set the stage for even greater damaging effects if this stress is left unchecked.

Recognizing it does exist and can not be avoided here are 5 tips to help reduce the mental stress experienced when working at home.

Schedule Your Work Hours

It is important that you have pre-defined hours in which you conduct your work. Like a regular job you need start on time and avoid the habit of ‘lingering’ at work since it’s right there in the home.

The hours that you set aside for work need to be maintained consistently. Don’t allow the distractions/temptation of the home environment to disrupt this schedule.

Leave Work at the Desk

Once you’ve completed your work for the day walk away and forget about it. Having your work set up in the home may tempt you to ’sneak’ in a little overtime since it is right there.

Discipline yourself to let work go till the next day. Whether you’re aware of it or not you need the break to recharge your mind, energy and spirit.

Finding the Humor

As you know things don’t always go according to plan so when the unexpected happens don’t dwell on it but rather try to find the humor in it and let it go.

Schedule Personal Time

Schedule time for your personal life and maintain this schedule. It is important to maintain a ‘balance’ in your life between personal and professional pursuits in order to keep your mind and spirits healthy.

Realize that you personal endeavors are just as important, if not more so, then your profession since they better define who you are. Remember you work primarily to pay the bills so don’t let this aspect of your life dominate you!

Consciously ‘Slow Down’

Pay closer attention to your level of intensity as you work since subconsciously we have a tendency get too caught up in it leading to increased tension. If need be take the time to deliberately slow yourself down and take the ‘edge’ off. As your tension eases you will find your thoughts become clearer and your productivity increases.

Although working online from home does offer many freedoms it does not eliminate work related stress.  When starting a small business in your home it is important to realize that stress could in fact take an even greater toll on you. Many online entrepreneurs enjoy earning a work from home income but also burn out quickly due to this stress. By consistently practicing the 5 tips we discussed above there is no reason you can’t find long lasting financial success in the stress free environment of your home.

Coping With Stress: Ways of Coping With Stress Effectively

September 25, 2009 by Admin

Many people admit that they are suffering from stress. Many of these people are involved in demanding and taxing work. Some, such as movie stars, suffer from it after continually trying to live in their exacting lifestyle. Others suffer stress due to traumatic life events, cramming during exams and deadlines or bad personal relationships.

But what is stress anyway? Technically speaking, stress is a condition wherein the property of a human being to maintain a constant, stable condition is disrupted. It is either a physical or physiological stimulus can produce negative mental or physical reactions. These reactions can lead to exhaustion or illness.

To deal with stress, people engage in many things. There are a variety of ways in coping with stress.

Some people exercise regularly to get rid of stress. Proper exercise help reduce stress by keeping the body fit and healthy. Many people prefer to exercise in a gym in the company of other like minded individuals. The exercise, camaraderie and sharing of experiences help relax a person so he can reduce stress levels.

For some people, coping with stress can mean taking a leave and going out of the city to enjoy the countryside. Free from the confines of the office and the responsibility of office work, stressed people feel more relaxed and at ease with themselves. Nothing can be as refreshing as taking a breath of fresh mountain air or taking a swim in cool spring waters.

Some people also meditate to cope with stress. Meditation is a technique wherein a person enters into a state of concentrated attention. Meditation can attune oneself to his inner spirituality and is either required or practiced in many religions. But aside from that, meditation also relieves stress. In fact, hospitals require patients who are chronically or terminally ill from stress to meditate. It reduces complications and alleviates the immune system.

Treating oneself with massages, acupuncture or acupressure is also a good way to cope with stress. Done correctly, these practices can relieve psychological stress, manage pain, include blood circulation and even aid in healing.

This is hard to believe but there are also other people who engage in exciting, dangerous activities to cope with stress! They participate in risky activities such as sky diving, bungee jumping or scuba diving to get rid of stress. It is the adrenalin rush which makes them feel good about what they are doing. When such rush is experienced, these people feel invincible and on top of themselves. Such a superior feeling is relaxing and helps in taking away stress.

All these techniques are helpful in coping with stress. It is now the individual’s preference as to what way he will choose.

Three Ways To Help Prevent Stress Related Illnesses

September 24, 2009 by Admin

Today we all live in times that we have not seen in half a century, not just the United States but world wide.  The economic meltdown has everyone on edge.  People are losing their jobs, or they are worried they may lose their job, and we all know what can happen next, people can lose their homes, their cars, and on and on, this can be very stressful.  If you are single it can be stressful, but if you  have a wife and kids this can be very, very stressful.  Stress can be very dangerous to your health, it can cause all kinds of health problems, like high blood pressure, heart problems, eating disorders, alcoholism, and so on.  It also can cause a strain in your family.  I will show you 3 ways I use to prevent stress related illnesses.

1.  Leave your work at work.  Today people are working harder for lower pay.  Companies are laying off people and making the rest of the employees pick up the slack for the same pay, and that makes people a little upset,  and can cause all kinds of problems in the work force.  I say just go in, do your job, and punch out.  Leave your work at work.  If you had a bad day at work, just get it out of your head right there, just think positive things like your kids, or any happy thoughts.  Just tell yourself tomorrow will be better, and keep telling yourself that.

2.  Get more training.  If you do not like your job, you may want to get training for a new job, it’s never too late.  I went to school for Electronics in the early 80’s, it was a good thing at the time but now all the manufacturing jobs are over seas, so I was forced to get retrained, just to make it in this new economy, that is if you want a good paying job.  Having a new career with more money, and something you enjoy doing, can reduce stress a great deal.  It can be very challenging if you have a family, but these days you can get an education online, and do the schooling on your own time.

3.  Give yourself some alone time.  This is probably the most important.  Everyone needs a little time alone to just relax.  We live in a world that is go, go, go, all the time, and no one takes the time to just, stop, and take a moment to just relax.  People should give themselves at least a half hour, or even an hour a day, to just relax and do what ever makes you happy, like read a book, or go for a walk, or my favorite listen to music.  Music is very relaxing, that’s why Dentists play soft music, to help people that stress out  about going to the dentist.  But remember, do this alone, no kids, no distractions.

In conclusion, stress is a growing problem, and it may get worse before it gets better.  These are just of few things that I use to help me prevent stress related illnesses.  If you would like more information on how to reduce stress in your  life see link bellow.

Tired of always being stressed and rushed at the end of the year

September 22, 2009 by Admin

For one of my clients, the second half of the year was an increasingly stressful and unhappy time. A successful salesperson, during the first half of the year she felt like she had all the time in the world. She made plans, followed up on them – or not. Then the summer came, time when her business slowed down and she took time off. However, by the end of August, things started to heat up. She would look at her goals and find that she needed to work more to reach them; she would work and work, time would creep up on her and suddenly it was a week before Thanksgiving, and she hadn’t even started to think about Christmas. From then on, pure, outright stress set in, and she lived in survival mode until the end of the year. She would end up meeting her yearly goals, have a beautiful Christmas dinner and New Year’s Eve, but at what cost! She reached January 1 exhausted physically and mentally, desperate for a long vacation that she couldn’t take.

She had simply had enough of this yearly “ritual”, wanted it to change and so came to me. After fine-tuning her daily routines, I suggested to her a very radical idea: Start working on every major deadline, project or event four months ahead of time. So in mid-August, we started planning her holiday season. We set what appeared to the people around her as ridiculously early deadlines for her different end-of-year tasks, such end of August for her business holiday cards text and the choice of client gifts, or mid-September to order her customized cards.

However, when October rolled in, her colleagues had stopped laughing: most of her preparations were already done, and she could fully devote herself to beating her sales goals. Her holiday cards were there, stamped and ready to be mailed on December 1; the menu and decoration for her Christmas dinner were already chosen, the non-perishable elements already bought, the rest ordered or scheduled for order; most of her gifts were already bought. All she had left to do was follow the rest of her plan, with ¾ of the work already done.

On the January 2 following this breakthrough year, she emailed me: “This is the most amazing end of year I’ve ever had. No stress, no running, no rushing, no wondering how I would pull it off. Not only was I relaxed and did I enjoy myself the whole time, but I had time to take on things as the opportunities presented themselves. I’ve NEVER been able to take advantage of a last-minute opportunity before if it came to me in the last quarter of the year! Oh, and my friends are asking what I did to be so calm, they don’t even recognize me.”

Since then, she’s been planning everything at least four months ahead, and is loving it just as much as she loved this very first peacefully productive Christmas season. She found out that planning ahead, by removing most of the stress associated with looming deadlines, makes her more productive, and it shows in her results.

How Women Handle Stress – 3 Coping Skills You Must Have

September 21, 2009 by Admin

There is no easy answer for how women handle stress. You can’t have someone tell you to “do this”, and you “do that”, and then Poof, your stress magically disappears. It doesn’t work that way, at least not for women. They are deep and complex individuals and the answer to resolving stressful issues is usually elusive and often just out of reach.

Stress can keep you off balance, subconsciously searching for that one “Aha” moment when you realize what you must do in order to resolve the situation and easy your discomfort.

Unless you’ve experienced it you just don’t know how debilitating these feelings can be: feelings of constant turmoil and fear. You know, that sick, churning feeling in your gut that just won’t go away: feelings of inadequacy, and of responsibilities so overwhelming you’re sure you’ll never be able to handle it all.

Stress can affect women both physically and mentally. Some of the most common life events that can cause stress are:

·    Death of a family member or spouse
·    Marriage
·    Pregnancy
·    Divorce
·    Retirement
·    Financial worries
·    Loss of job
·    Serious illness

Stress is different for each and every one of us. It shows up in strange ways and is a force to be reckoned with. For the sake of argument lets consider stress as a scale that becomes out of balance. The demands of our lives begin to outweigh the resources we have to handle those demands.

Each woman has her own set of worries and responsibilities. In order to cope with the onslaught of our daily lives we need to develop some outlet that allows the mind and body to “take five” and step off the roller coaster, if you will, even for a short while. Below are 3 coping skills you must have for self-preservation:

1.  Do Something Physical:

Run, swim, walk, play tennis……anything that you really enjoy doing will fit the bill. Run an extra mile that day. Add a few extra laps in the pool. Do whatever it takes to get your body moving and let your mind rest. Exercise also has a calming effect that lasts long after the activity is over. When I am physically tired I find it much easier to fall asleep and stay asleep.

2. Learn How To Relax:

True relaxation is a skill you need to develop. Deep breathing exercises, slow stretches and meditation are a great place to start. They can be done anywhere and don’t require any money to enjoy. Relaxation can ease the effects of stress placed on your body, which allows you to think clearer and make better choices.

3. Get Away From Your Stressor:

When your body starts to show signs of distress you should remove yourself from the situation as soon as you possibly can, sit in a comfortable position and close your eyes. Focus on each part of your body, starting from your head and work downward. Think of the tension in that part of your body, take a deep breath, slowly exhale and imagine the stress leaving your body as you exhale. Complete this process with your entire body until you begin to feel calm and centered. Try to remain relaxed for 5-10 minutes.

Although learning how to cope with stress is sometimes not an easy feat, with practice, you can take control of your feelings and get your life back on track. Never give up. Life is just too short not to enjoy it to the fullest.

Stress is a topic which keeps coming up. Ever more do we find ourselves dealing with more stress. After all it seems normal. Cars are built to go faster, so are computers, so why not humans. Stress seems to be part of life. The question is whether a good sleep can reduce stress?

Life today seems to be going faster and faster. We look at computers and see that Moors Law is operating with computers doubling in speed every 18 months. This is immense growth!

We see cars built to go faster; we see the same with airplanes, and even in agriculture. Wherever we turn, we find the same principle of stress. Unfortunately stress is the major reason why people break down, and it goes with technology and all things.

Stress is the cause of breaking things down. After all, you can’t burn rubber, unless you make the wheels spin on a vehicle! Likewise stress is a factor which can cause problems in humans.

To reduce it we have lots of options. It could be still doing stressful things, however perspectives can change. Exercise for example or going for a walk. These are activities which even though stress the body, in fact reduce the main problem of tension that is what stress is.

Another way is to meditate, and this is a stark contrast. It is a relaxing method, which is like a time out of our conscious world, and allows us to go to a deeper understanding. This works absolutely great.

There is also another method and that is with sleep. Sleep is essential, and one which makes all the difference. A short about of sleep, and we don’t have all we need to go forward on the day. Too much and we can walk around like zombies wondering what is happening!

In either case, a good bed and good mattress are essential. Without a good bed and mattress, you can’t have a comfortable sleep, which is essential for peace and relaxation. Comfort is the best way to reduce stress.

Imagine running with no shoes or running with high heels! Sneakers work better! Overall, a good mattress will go a long way in providing the kind of relaxation you need to be able to handle your day.

Is stress never going to be there? Could sleep or meditation make it so stress is a thing of the past? The answer is a big no; unfortunately stress is a part of life now. In the past physical stress was the norm, now we are having to deal with psychological stress, and this kind of stress is the hardest.

The only solution is to follow the examples to reduce stress. For example sleeping on a good mattress will allow this to happen. Then you will further be able to deal with the day, whatever the challenges.

Fighting Stress At The Office

Working at an office can rid the body of many opportunities to workout. Office work is often considered as sedentary with people usually need only to sit in their own desks or cubicles to do their job. Despite quite a physically relaxing job, it can also stress out the mind into such an extent as to affect the body overall. This type of living day in and day out can eventually affect one’s overall health.

Working at an office need not lead into this type of situation. There are many ways in which you can still stay considerably active and physically healthy by making sure that your body gets the much needed workout that it can manage when the opportunity presents itself. Here are some of them that you can try out.

Early Stretching

Instead of jumping out of bed immediately after you wake up, you can try to slowly awaken your body by doing some early stretching. Try to give your muscles a stretch or so the minute you wake up in order to awaken them the right way. This will help get that blood circulation going and provides your body with an easy but simple “pick-me-upper” at the start of your day.

Schedule Breaks

Prolonged stress can really get to you even if you are not aware of it. This can happen easily in any office scenario. In order to prevent it from affecting you, it would be good to schedule timely breaks into your office routine in order to help provide you with some much needed rest from the stress. This might help strike up a balance between work and rest that your body really needs on a daily basis.

Stretch Breaks

Stretches become your friend at the office. It may be just the simple workout that you need or may be able to do. Its simple and it won’t take quite a lot of your time. You can stretch your limbs from time to time or you can do them for a five or ten minute period at each scheduled break. Not only would it give your body some much needed time to function, stretching can also be quite relaxing especially if you are under quite a lot of stress.

Refresh Your Body And Mind

A day of the office requires getting the right kind of nutrients to feed the needs of your body. Lunch usually may provide you with a means to refresh your body and make it ready for the next half of the day. Try to eat something healthy for lunch such as a salad or a healthy serving of pasta or sandwich. Try to top it off with drinking lots of liquids to help keep you hydrated. It can be easy to forget even drinking the right amounts of water while at the office and this can easily make you feel down and stressed with the lack of it.
